Think Selection are delighted to be the exclusive recruitment partner to The Folio Society in their search for a Rights Manager to develop the company’s network of publisher and agent relationships and drive rights acquisitions of new book projects.
The Folio Society is a well-established and prestigious independent publisher, known for producing beautifully crafted bespoke editions of books – on a variety of non-fiction topics and fiction genres, including biography, art, history, science fiction, fantasy, classics and modern fiction – for a loyal and fast-growing global client-base.
This brand-new position has been created due to growth. Reporting to and working closely with the Publishing Director, your role is to develop The Folio Society’s network of relationships with publishers and agents, to identify titles to acquire international rights of exclusive editions from rights’ holders and to negotiate the title acquisitions.
Naturally, you’ll need to be entrepreneurial, strategic and an excellent builder of relationships with internal and external stakeholders and experienced in managing rights in a book publishing environment whether this is in a sales or editorial capacity.
