Recruitment consultant / all general enquiries
Danny Parnes is a publishing recruitment consultant with over 25 years’ experience in the publishing industry. Before moving into recruitment in 2018, he worked as a Sales Director and hiring manager in trade publishing, gaining first-hand insight into the publishing sector.
He began his career at Reed Consumer Books, focusing on export market growth. He later managed UK high-street and non-traditional sales at Chrysalis Books Group and subsequently oversaw UK & Export Sales at Ryland, Peters & Small.
In 2018, Danny joined Gregory Martin, a publishing recruitment firm, acquiring the business later that year and subsequently rebranding the company as Think Selection.

Publishing consultant, mentor and non-executive director.
Andrew worked in Publishing for over 40 years most recently holding the post of Deputy CEO at Octopus Publishing Group. Prior to that he worked at Penguin for over 20 years, spending 4 years as Global CEO of DK and rising to the position of Deputy Managing Director of Penguin. In addition to working with Think Selection he is a non-executive director of Flame Tree Publishing and sits on the Advisory Board of the Publishing Post Graduate course at Kingston University.

Recruitment Consultant
Rebecca Fenton has 20 years’ experience in media, publishing and tech. With nine of those years at Audible, An Amazon Company, Rebecca has sat on both sides of Amazon’s 'bar-raising' interview process, as both a hiring manager and as a candidate. All of Rebecca’s work within her professional life has had a collaborative and relationship-centric focus, including in roles spanning Business Development, Sales, Metadata/Operations, Team Management, Publisher and Catalogue Management, Executive Production and International Project Management. She also volunteers as a mentor with charity Creative Access.
