A rare career opportunity has come up with our client, a leading and well established independent adult trade book publishing house, who have asked Think Selection to be the exclusive recruiter to find a Typographic Layout Designer to join their friendly team.
This unique publishing role has been newly created due to the ongoing growth of the company’s Fiction Book Publishing which includes genre fiction bestsellers.
Reporting to the Senior Designer, your role will be to design and typeset the insides of fiction book novels. The role includes checking the design work for quality and consistency and making changes to the text, images or layout. You’ll handle the designing on your own projects and utilise freelancers for others.
You’ll bring expert knowledge of InDesign with proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop and typographic and layout knowledge, great organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a thriving design and editorial team.
The company is based in London and offers a hybrid working pattern of a minimum 2 days per week, a competitive salary and company benefits.
