A rare Senior Sales & Marketing role has arisen with our client, a leading global nonfiction book publishing house, who have asked Think Selection exclusively to find a SVP North American Sales & Marketing Director to join the company to lead the Group’s North American sales and marketing operation.
This well-established and successful publishing house produces beautiful highly quality nonfiction books and gifts for adults and children of all ages.
Your role will be to lead the sales, marketing and PR team and drive sales and marketing strategy and growth across all channels in North America.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and inspire the sales and marketing team, engendering a positive and productive culture to successfully deliver on the plans and targets
- Cultivate positive relationships with other departments to encourage collaboration
- Develop and execute innovative and high-quality marketing campaigns to enhance brand and title visibility and drive sales
- Implement brand strategies that resonate with the imprints’ target audiences.
- Collaborate closely with Publishers to identify growth opportunities and provide strategic direction in product development
- Oversee day-to-day sales operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in all activities
- Drive category management initiatives to capitalize on market trends and maximize revenue potential
- Develop and implement promotions for backlist products to stimulate sales growth
- Cultivate strong relationships with National Accounts to expand the company’s market presence
- Conduct market analysis to identify competitive opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends
- Manage budget allocations for accounts, travel and exhibitions
- Track and manage cooperative advertising funds to maximize ROI and brand exposure
- Monitor departmental expenditure to ensure alignment with budgetary requirements.
Naturally we’re looking for someone with a great reputation with key account buyers who is experienced at leading sales and marketing teams and growing sales in North America.
A highly competitive remuneration is on offer which will of course depend on your experience, plus generous group company benefits and a hybrid working policy where you’ll be based from the company’s offices on the East Coast of the USA at least 3 days per week.
