Platform Manager (eBooks)

A role has come up with a leading publishing house who have asked Think Selection to help to find a Platform Manager to join their Product Innovation team.

Your role will be to oversee the company’s successful eBook platform, ensuring it aligns with the needs of scholarly users in academic libraries worldwide. This role will guide the platform’s exciting next phase of development and reports to the Senior Manager.

Responsibilities include:

Oversee daily platform operations, troubleshooting, and monthly content release.

Act as product champion, addressing queries from sales, support teams, and customers, while contributing to platform development.

Act as technical expert on SSP functionality, collaborating with developers, UX, and Product Management on issues and development goals.

Manage and streamline platform testing to ensure thorough vetting before go-live.

Ensure content updates and platform enhancements are delivered on time and within budget.

Coordinate with external developers on site management and bug-fixing.

Analyse Google Analytics to provide insights for platform optimization and strategy.

Collaborate on platform enhancement requirements, user research, and development plans based on strategic goals.

Experience:

Solid experience with websites, digital products, or eBook platforms.

Strong skills in implementation, time management, and attention to detail.

Excellent problem-solving abilities, responding to diverse stakeholder needs logically.

Proactive attitude with enthusiasm for digital platform and product management.

Strong technical aptitude and comfort with systems and workflows.

Experience working with developers, handling data, and interpreting web analytics.

Understanding of project management and development processes.

A salary of up to £40k per year is on offer, plus competitive group benefits, and you’ll be based 2 days per week from offices in London or Oxford.
