A well established independent publishing services company has asked Think Selection to find an experienced Managing Editor to oversee the company’s editorial projects.
The company provides a range of editorial services to publishing companies including translation, cover design, book production, indexing, typesetting and proofreading.
Reporting to the board, your role as Managing Editor will be to oversee a range of editorial projects for clients, and manage an in-house editor and a freelance team from around the world.
You’ll plan, negotiate and monitor project budgets, establish and maintain schedules and implement efficient and cost-effective processes.

In the first instance we’re looking for a managing editor with at least 3 years’ experience of managing editorial projects, with comprehensive knowledge of academic editing and publishing processes and familiarity with the latest project management techniques and systems.
This a fully remote, full-time, permanent role based in the UK. An excellent salary is on offer depending on your experience, plus good company benefits.
