Our client, an award-winning independent publisher seeks an Editorial Director to shape and grow a fiction and picture books list.
This relatively small list is growing fast, the publisher produces thought-provoking, original stories that expand the choices available to young readers.
Candidates will show they can run successful and profitable commissioning projects and have strong communication and negotiation skills. You will need good understanding and experience in the YA/children’s fiction book market and be able to bring out the best in your authors, and have good contacts with agents and the wider children’s publishing community.
The salary range is very attractive and will depend on the experience you bring. In business-as-usual times you’ll be based in Central London very close to all the main public transport hubs.
