Content Editor

A rare career opportunity has arisen with a Professional Membership Body who have asked Think Selection to be the exclusive recruiter to find a Content Editor to join their friendly London-based team.

Reporting to the Managing Editor, your role as Content Editor will be to support the delivery of the organisation’s editorial activities and publications, in particular their international peer-reviewed member’s journal. This includes drafting and editing content and managing its distribution across the organisation’s publishing and communication channels.

We’re looking for a candidate experienced with editorial processes, and able to provide excellent web, editorial and internal messaging in a B2B publishing or association environment with a scientific focus, who’d thrive at working in a closely knit team. Perhaps you’re an Editorial Assistant or a Production Editor seeking their next career move.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the editorial production of the organisation’s monthly journals
• Contributing to sub-editing and layout of articles on the organisation’s online platform
• Proofreading and finalising pages for online publication
• Copywriting and providing editorial support across the organisation’s digital channels
• Contributing to the delivery and development of a wide range of corporate communications across all channels
• Sourcing and writing/repurposing news stories and messaging for targeted audiences and channels
• Collaborating with other internal teams (e.g. the Marketing team) on editorial opportunities
• Producing a range of membership newsletters, both general and specialist interest
• Assisting with reporting on the organisation’s industry events

The salary is up to £30k and you’d receive competitive holiday allowance, pension and other employee benefits. You’ll be based 3 days per week from the Organisation’s stunning offices in London.
