A rare career opportunity has arisen with our client, a long-established and successful independent London-based trade book publishing house, who have asked Think Selection exclusively to find a Managing Editor to join the Adult book publishing team.
The company publishes best-selling nonfiction books for international markets on a broad range of genres that include Biography, History, Gift and Humour.
Reporting to the Managing Director, your responsibilities will include supervision of an editorial team, structural editing of key titles, overseeing editorial and design work in progress and scheduling, managing editorial meetings and liaising with the commissioning team on publishing proposals.
You’ll also oversee project costings, review and provide materials to the sales and rights team, draft author contracts and check royalty statements.
The ideal candidate will have a background in publishing editorial management with excellent editorial and communication skills, a keen eye for detail and the desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced publishing environment.
You’ll be based 3 days per week from the company’s offices in London. A competitive salary and company benefits are on offer to the successful candidate.
