A rare opportunity has arisen to lead a prestigious digital publishing business as Managing Director during a maternity cover period. This role is integral to the organisation’s success, with responsibilities that span strategic growth, key stakeholder relationships, and operational oversight.
As Managing Director, you will drive commercial strategy and oversee the organisation’s operations, ensuring the business achieves its goals while maintaining brand integrity. Working closely with an experienced leadership team, your role will involve managing commercial negotiations with major partners, supporting business development initiatives, and fostering a positive and productive working culture. You will also provide strategic guidance to the board and act as a key decision-maker for brand-related initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and deliver commercial strategies aligned with agreed business goals.
• Manage major commercial discussions and negotiations with key partners.
• Support the leadership team across business development, product development, and account management.
• Collaborate with the Finance team to recommend budgets and manage spend effectively.
• Promote a positive, collaborative, and inclusive working environment.
• Act as a custodian of the brand’s reputation, ensuring all activities reflect its values and integrity.
